STAR believes in thinking globally, but acting locally. We serve relocation needs worldwide, while we support our local Northern Virginia community.
Polaris is the name of the constellation that we all know as the North Star. Seen and honored by all living things, the North Star is the brightest star that stands alone and remains constant. Humans have used it as a navigational tool to find their way all throughout history. One perfect example is: Sailors used the North Star when lost at sea to find their way home.
Star International Movers chose the name Polaris for our charity because it not only represents our name, it also represents the people we serve. Star International Movers acts globally by servicing people throughout the world, we act locally by servicing our community. Our communities become cities, our cities become countries, our countries become continents, and our continents are connected by the people we serve.
Polaris services our community in many ways. A representative for STAR will take a list of the items needed for charity to every survey. During a relocation, any donation from a family will be brought back to our warehouse. As soon as we are contacted by a representative from the local shelter of a person in need, Star International will deliver for free the donated household goods and personal effects.
If you or anyone you know would like to give back to the community please do not hesitate to contact your local shelter.
